Kathy Vest, Local Insurance Advisor

Kathy Vest

LIA - Tulsa County, Oklahoma

I have worked in the healthcare industry for the last 30 years. I received my Medical Assistants certificate in 1990 and worked in different areas of doctors’ offices, from surgery, pediatrics to OB Gynecology. I decided to go to work at Blue Cross to get a better understanding of the actual insurance aspect of the industry. Two years ago I found myself looking to make a change in my career and was offered the opportunity to develop a Health Insurance agency in Owasso. I now am a specialist in a wide variety of health insurance products; Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug Plans, Hospital Indemnity, just to name a few. I can help people, regardless of their age, find the right health insurance coverage to meet their needs. I also teach a class on Turning 65 Medicare made clear. It’s a free class that answers all you wanted to know about Medicare Supplement, Advantage plans and how to avoid penalties.

I am local to Tulsa county with an office available for appointments but am also able to meet you in your home if it is inconvenient for you to come to me.

I have been raised in Enid, Oklahoma. I have been happily married for 22 years. My husband and I are very involved in volunteering within our community as well as being involved most recently with disaster relief due to hurricanes.

When choosing this career path, I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy it. Helping people understand their Medicare choices and helping them with their options has been incredibly satisfying to me.

Annie Steumky, Local Insurance Advisor

Annie Stuemky

LIA - Central Oklahoma

Originally from western Oklahoma, I now reside in Cashion with my husband, Matt, and our 3 amazing kids. Our family loves traveling, watching movies together, and competing in anything and everything against each other. Matt and I have been serving in various areas of ministry since we were married in 2002. We now serve in the youth group at New Song Church in Edmond.

Before being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, I loved being a hairdresser and have been involved with network marketing since 2014. Choosing the Medicare Planning Industry was an easy decision when returning back to the workforce again, as it allows me to still be available for my family. I’m a people-person, whether it is ministering, doing hair, or discussing health or financial options. I’m very proud of the help, advice, and relationships I have developed with my members!

Dustin Haffner, Local Insurance Advisor

Dustin Haffner

LIA - Northeastern Oklahoma

My name is Dustin Haffner, and I am your local “Medicare Guy” in Northeastern Oklahoma.

I am originally from a very small town in Western Oklahoma, “Lahoma, Oklahoma”. I have lived in several places, and even a couple of states but eventually we decided Northeastern Oklahoma was where we would “root.” My wife Kallie and I have been married for 10 years and we have a happy, funny and smart 10 year old son named Carter. We enjoy spending time with family, the lake and motocross racing.

I started my career with insurance in 2015. I have explored various roles in various fields on my career path, but working in insurance and helping those make informed decisions about their health insurance needs, has been most fulfilling.

Melburn Short, Local Insurance Advisor

Melburn Short

LIA - Northeastern Oklahoma

My name is Melburn Short, and I have been in the insurance field since 1984. I started out in the accident and disability field for three years then worked my way into health and life insurance. I ran the Prudential agency in Ada, Oklahoma for three years followed by the American General agency for three years, also in Ada.

When I found out how I could get certified in the Medicare field and help my Medicare beneficiaries and not have to ask them for any premiums to help them with their medical and prescription needs, I was all in. My mother was 90 years old at this time and the burden of high insurance premiums to help with medical bills and prescriptions was eating up all of her Social Security check in addition to her having to live with my sister to make ends meet. I am proud to say I was able to help with that, and I am proud to help my fellow Medicare beneficiaries to do the same.

I live in Broken Arrow and travel a two-hour radius of Tulsa. Thank you for allowing me to help. To all of you and your families, have a Blessed future.

Andrea Archer, Local Insurance Advisor

Andy Archer

LIA - Oklahoma City/Western Oklahoma

A resident of Edmond Oklahoma, I am a mother of 3 boys and have been married for 17 years. I was a marketing and advertising agent for a commercial real estate, property managing company before deciding to stay home to raise our children for 12 years.

It was an easy decision when deciding to go back to work and what I wanted to do.  I picked the Medicare Planning Industry because when my mother turned 65 she needed some help navigating through the complications of Medicare and which plan was best for her. It was a real eye-opener on how confusing it could be for others and I immediately felt a calling. I enjoy working with the Senior Market, and really feel like I am helping people work through some of the most difficult and sometimes confusing transitions in their life.

Choosing the right fit for each individual whether it is a Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage plan, Long Term Care, Final Expense or simply helping apply for extra help with medications is such a gratifying feeling and am very proud of the professional relationships I have developed with my members.

Andrew Anderson, Local Insurance Advisor

Andrew Anderson

LIA - Columbia/Central Missouri

My name is Andrew Anderson, and I am 45. I live in a small town in a rural community, Smithton, Missouri – population 568.  I’m happily going on 22 years of marriage with my wife, Tiffany.  We have three kids ages 18, 21, and 24.

I have been in the insurance industry since 2011.  I started out selling life insurance, and then in 2013, moved my focus to the health side of the industry — falling in love with helping people transition and maneuver into and around Medicare.  I believe in the golden rule of treating people the same way I would like to be treated…with respect, compassion, and kindness.
